Dr. Fabrice Ebeh appointed to the Interim Executive Council of the AU NSA Forum
Fabrice Kodjo Ebeh, PhD, President of ANCE-TOGO, is deeply honoured and grateful to have been appointed by the African Union Advisory Board against Corruption as a member of the Interim Executive Council of the Non-State Actors (NSA) Forum of the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption (AU-CPC) for a twelve (12) month term.
Through this appointment, he hopes to contribute to strengthening the participation of civil society organizations and business sector in the fight against corruption in Africa.
The Interim Executive Council of the NSA Forum of the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption (AUCPCC) was adopted at the second ordinary session of the AU Assembly in Maputo on July 11, 2003, pursuant to Article 12 of the AUCPCC. At the third edition of the African Anti-Corruption Dialogue, participants called for stronger engagement and partnership between States Parties and CSOs.
The members of the Interim Executive Board have the following mission:
- Define and develop the scope and working methods of the NSA Forum.
- Develop detailed annual work and budget plans based on agreed overall work plan.
- Making schedules for project activities listed in the annual work plans to ensure all are completed on time. One of which should be activities/projects of AUABC that are focused on Non-State Actors.
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day administrative support to ensure efficient functioning of the Forum including sessions of the Council, the Plenary etc.
- Undertake planning and coordination of Forum sessions and events including the gathering of the Forum at the Annual African Anti-Corruption Dialogue.
- Coordinate the implementation of Council decisions and resolutions.
- Review reports and issues that relate to Council responsibilities.
- Develop and support relations and exchange of information within the Forum and with other networks.
- Raise and manage funds including vetting sources of funding to ensure they are clean and align to the objectives of the Forum.
- Define and develop the TORs of members, working groups and internal activities.
